MISSION STATEMENT


Our mission is to promote awareness of the Villages of Howard and Suamico's heritage and aiding in their preservation through identifying, recording, managing and providing access to their information.

COLLECTING HOWARD-SUAMICO ITEMS OF HISTORICAL INTEREST: 

Local vintage photos, drawings, maps, memoirs, military or family photos & artifacts, journals/diaries, artwork, documents & ads, souvenirs, heirlooms, keepsakes, postcards, newspaper articles, books, antiques, etc. Also missing the following years of Bay Port Yearbooks:  '71-'75, '77, '80-'88, '91, '94, '97, 2002.  If you have any items to donate, please contact Barb Styczynski, Mary Steffen (434-2947), or Joy Schabow (434-1331).

December 6: Christmas Party Our general meeting for December will be held at Life Bridge Church, 2496 Glendale Avenue, in the Village of Howard at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited in a fun filled, entertaining event. Gifts will be exchanged and great food will be enjoyed. More information will be included once the event is finalized.

The 2019 calendars are ready.  $5.00 for the first copy if you are a member and if purchased at a meeting or at the Museum, $8.00 for non-members and for each subsequent calendar.  A great collection of pictures and interesting historical facts are included on each page .... you won't want to miss it!

December 1: Chicken Booyah fundraiser at Whispering Pines Tree Farm in Oconto benefitting the Historical Society. The booyah will be sold from 10:00 a.m. until sold out. We made 155 gallons last year and ran out early. We sell by the gallon, half gallon, quart and bowl. Please come early and enjoy a hot bowl of booyah while you take a wagon ride to pick out your Christmas Tree, visit with Santa or browse the gift shop. 

December 1: the Howard-Suamico Christmas Parade will be celebrating 50 years with a parade starting at 1:00 p.m. in the Village of Howard. The parade is sponsored by the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club, Villages of Howard and Suamico, the Howard-Suamico Business and Professional Association, the Duck Creek VFW, the Howard Sunrise Rotary Club and the Howard Lions Club. The theme for this years parade is "Golden Years of Christmas".
